BECOME A MENTOR

Are you an artist/designer/actor/writer/musician/dancer/maker looking for ways to support the next generation of youth creatives? Are you passionate about social justice and anti-racist youth programs? Do you want to be part of a community of youth workers, arts educators, and artists of all ages?

 

Providence ¡CityArts! For Youth seeks mentor volunteers to help support our Winter 2022 youth art program. Winter programs will happen in person at our studios on Broad Street with COVID-19 safety precautions in place.


Winter Mentoring Responsibilities

  • Assisting with greeting / checking in students and dismissing students

  • Distributing Meals and Snacks

  • Act as a teaching assistant to teaching artists

  • Help with prep and clean up of workshop spaces

  • Play games and have fun with our youth

  • One on one and group check-ins with students

  • Disinfect/Sanitize/Setup & Cleanup


Timeline

  • We ask that Mentors commit to a full session

  • January 31 - March 3

Mentors can opt to mentor as a pre-program helper or studio assistant (or both!)

  • Pre-program helper: 2:30 - 4 pm; two days a week (M, W OR TU, TR

  • Studio assistant: 3:50 - 5:30; two days a week (M, W OR TU, TR)
