A ¡CityArts! teaching artist is a practicing artist with an education skill-set. Our teaching artists are passionate about exposing our young artists to new ideas, art-forms, and creative techniques. In the classroom, our teaching artists encourage our young artists to explore and expand their artistic capacity. All teaching artists are trained in ¡CityArts! Positive Youth Development (PYD) curriculum, which promotes positive opportunities and outcomes by fostering prosocial relationships in the places youth live, learn, and play.
